Hello Ogden Clinic Readers,
We are the girls from Twosistersandastory.com and we are so excited to be here with you today to share a healthy and EASY lunch idea!
We know that some days making a healthy meal can become stressful, especially when you already have a lot on your plate with everything else life throws at you. Most of the time we are running kids to school, hurrying off to activities, or trying to get all of our to-do items checked off our lists. We understand that making meals can become quite the challenge and when we get really busy our meals don’t always end up so healthy.
Today we wanted to share our favorite “Whole Wheat Turkey Wraps” with you because we think they are the perfect healthy snack or lunch idea for those busy days. (Actually they are perfect for ANY day!)
One thing we absolutely love about these wraps is that you can easily adjust them to make them work for you and your family. Simply add or take away any veggies you desire to help make them your own. If you don’t have a certain veggie or you run out of cheese, don’t stress about it, try adding something new or just leave it off. The sky is the limit with these wraps and the main idea is to keep them simple and stress free!
What you’ll need:
1-Whole Wheat Tortillas
3- Sliced Deli Turkey
1/2 tsp- Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread (We purchased the Philadelphia Brand at Walmart.)
1 slice- Cheese (*If you are trying to save a few extra calories or have a dairy intolerance then hold off on the cheese.*)
Veggies- of your choice (Lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes…the sky is the limit!)
Grab a whole wheat tortilla and spread 1/2 tsp. of chive and onion cream cheese throughout the center of the tortilla. Next add 3 slices of turkey meat over your spread. Now add cheese and any veggies you desire. Roll them up tight in your tortilla and you’re done! That was easy wasn’t it?
We hope you’ll give these delicious Whole Wheat Turkey Wraps a try and love them as much as we do. Remember, eating healthy becomes easier when you really enjoy what you’re eating so have fun with these!
